Turkish Film Week to be held in Tehran Iranian Artists Forum

Iran is to screen Turkish movies during Turkish Film Week in Tehran.

Iranian Artists Forum has scheduled to screen seven Turkish movies during Turkish Film Week in the capital city of Tehran.

The Turkish Film Week festival will be held at the Cinematheque of the Iranian Artists Forum (IAF) in Tehran from January 22-28.

Turkish Ambassador Riza Hakan Tekin, the managing director of the Yunus Emre Institute in Tehran, Turgay Safak, and a number of Iranian cultural figures will attend the event.

The festival’s Turkish film lineup includes Mahmut Fazil Coskun’s ‘Remote Possibility’, ‘Honey’ by Semih Kaplanoglu, ‘Sivas’ directed by Kaan Mujdeci and ‘Three Roads’ Faysal Soysal.

Other Turkish films to go on screen are Yilmaz Erdogan’s ‘The Butterfly’s Dream’ and Nuri Bilge Ceylan’s two films ‘Once Upon a Time in Anatolia’ and ‘Winter Sleep’.

Review sections will follow the screenings, attended by the film directors and Turkish critics, including Hassanali Yildirim, Peyami Celikcan, Burcak Evren and Baris Saydam.
